With the next WoW patch, profession enrollment will be added. There are many mysteries surrounding this new profession. What will it add to the game? Will it be similar to enchant? How can I level it? Do I need to store materials? All these questions I am about to answer for you.
First of all, Inscription will allow crafters to create Glyphs and Scrolls. These can be used to add effects to your character or abilities. For example, you can add resistances or increase your magic damage effects. A familiar example is a mage’s fireballs dealing periodic damage on impact in addition to dealing direct damage.
In some respects inscription will be similar to enchantment only it will add magical effects to items. One big difference is that Inscription will allow you to sell the scrolls you create on the auction house.
When it comes to rug storage, you need to start now! It looks like Inscription will be using a lot of herbs as base mats. These herbs are ground to create pigments which are then used with different scrolls to create scrolls. To give you an idea of how many herbs you will need, let’s look at what is known. You will need a stack of 5 of the same herb to grind them. From a few stacks, you can get some pigments. That means you’ll need a large stockpile of herbs just to craft the basic materials.
By following a guide, you will be able to eliminate much of the unnecessary material waste on inefficient scrolls. It should also help speed up the leveling time for the profession.
