In the World of War craft, mining is used to extract gems, ores, and stones from mineral deposits found throughout the realm.
Certain skills are combined with mining. These skills are blacksmithing, engineering, and jewelry crafting. These skills allow the sale of metals and stones in the auction room. It is always advantageous to have mining when acquiring these skills. You’d rather mine your own materials than have to buy them from the auction room.
Two additional abilities come with mining, namely smelting and ore hunting. Smelting allows the player to convert ores and minerals into usable metals, while Find Mineral stills reflect nearby mineral deposits on the minimap.
To start mining, a mining pick will need to be purchased from a vendor.
