Playing games with lives ?: 5 examples

Many of us have the feeling of discomfort, our elected leaders and public officials seem to be playing dangerous games, with the life, safety and public health of our citizens! While true leaders step up and make focused, priority-based, and well-considered decisions, in a timely manner, don’t you think, many of those currently in office are more concerned with their personal / political agenda, and Self-interest, which is the best interests of the nation, and the constituents, are they supposed to serve and represent? Now, more than ever, we need and deserve leaders who put the greater good before their personal priorities. With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss, 5 current event examples that, if you haven’t already, should be of concern to us.

1. Politics / Liberate / Good people: We have always had certain politicians, who seemed more concerned with their personal best interests, but never, in recent memory, have we witnessed someone who holds the highest office in our land, whose rhetoric and vitriol. his political agenda and being popular with his main supporters. When Donald Trump ran for office, he lacked what else, he considers conventional experience and expertise, so he ran, an outsider, and his campaign slogan, Make America Great Again. His populist rhetoric, empty promises, and appeal to those who seemed to resent authority, etc., were essential components of his campaign. Since he was elected, this president has continued this approach. During this pandemic, and on several occasions, he has articulated messages that seem to encourage certain antisocial behaviors, prejudices and biases. When you called the rebels in Charlottesville, good people, and then used similar language to describe the protesters, demanding the opening of our economy, and used terms like liberate, etc., it seems that you crossed a dangerous line, that was opposed to the common of public opinion. Good to improve public health, during this horrible pandemic!

2. Ignoring the warnings: Despite his denials etc, it seems obvious, based on discovered documents etc, President Trump received warnings, which should have alarmed and concerned him. Instead, he called the pandemic and its risks a hoax, and perhaps if we were better prepared earlier, fewer lives may have been lost and fewer people inflicted, etc.

3. Equating Public Health With Economic Concerns: As New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has said, the difference between suffering, due to the economy, and public health, is that this disease kills. Statistics seem to indicate that approximately 2 to 3% of those inflicted die. How many should die, before health, wellness and information driven (rather than rhetoric or intestine – influenced) approach, determine the necessary policy, etc.

Four. Blame and complain: Is there anyone that this president does not blame, to try, to evade any personal responsibility? From blaming and complaining about his predecessor (his apparent focus from day one), to his political opponents, the Chinese, the World Health Organization, etc., Trump seems to constantly seek to be popular politically regardless of the ramifications and implications. !

5. Red and blue, instead of red, white and blue: There should be no room for partisan politics during a health pandemic and international emergency! Yet President Trump often sees things, in terms of red and blue states (Democrats vs. Republicans), rather than what many believe should be a responsible, responsive, and much-needed emphasis on the principles represented. by the government. Red white and blue!

Wake up America and recognize that this behavior is not only unusual, but it presents a clear and present danger to the best interests of the public. Who has the right to determine, when there is another option, how many deaths is an acceptable number?
