Do someone’s experiences allow you to get in touch with your emotional wounds?

In today’s world, it is often believed that humans generally have no control over what happens to them. Also, when it comes to the “negative” experiences they have, the “negative” feelings they experience will be seen as caused by what is happening.

When someone agrees with this then it won’t be a surprise if they have a ‘victim mentality’. But since someone or something ‘out there’ is likely to be considered in control of your life, how else would they be?

Being like this, there is a great possibility of being surrounded by people who also have the same belief. However, for them and the people in their life, this will not be seen simply for what it really is, a belief; it will be seen as the absolute truth.

As a result of this, there will be no reason for one to step back and question this belief, as the people in their life, along with the society they live in, will validate it. If someone were to challenge them for what they believe and even provide the evidence that they are not inherently a victim, although that doesn’t mean they won’t have moments where they will be victimized on one level, they could end up getting defensive.

A hidden agenda

At this point, it could be said that those in power condition people to see themselves as mere victims since it facilitates their control. A large part of the population will be like helpless children who need parental figures to protect them.

Certainly there is a lot of evidence to support this view, but what this view does not take into account is that the human mind makes it difficult for someone to see that they are co-creating their reality. If it weren’t for this, it would be much more difficult for “those in power” to do what they do.

Self-deception

So while someone may be very good at fooling others, he may be even better at fooling himself. However, this is something that can happen without them realizing what is happening.

This is something that will occur through the use of different defense mechanisms and, ultimately, it will be lies that they tell themselves to avoid pain. This will be an unconscious process, that is, something you are not aware of; If they knew when to use a defense mechanism, the defense mechanism would not work.

The key

What this illustrates is how important self-awareness is, as this is what will allow you to develop the ability to be aware when you are using a defense mechanism. The next step will be for them to connect with the pain they are trying to avoid.

This will allow you to gradually work on your pain instead of pushing it out of your conscious mind and ending up falling victim to your own repressed internal material. This is because if it enters this part of their being, sooner or later, it will have an effect on how they experience life.

Seeing through the mirage

It might seem strange how what is pushed into someone’s unconscious mind could shape their reality, how the ‘invisible’ world could impact the ‘visible’ world, and this is due in part to the illusion of separation and in part to have a materialistic view of reality. The mind of one’s ego, together with their eyes, will create the impression that they are just an observer of reality.

In reality, you are both an observer and a co-creator of what is displayed in your reality. However, if one does not recognize that he has an unconscious mind, much less deal with what is in this part of him, he will not be able to see how his outer world is reflecting his inner world.

A consequence

What happens externally, then, will be a manifestation of what happens internally. Not only this, most of the feelings they experience when something ‘negative’ happens will be feelings that were already inside of them.

With this in mind, your repressed feelings will have caused you to manifest a ‘negative’ situation and these feelings will enter your conscious awareness during the situation itself. Therefore, no matter how bad the situation is, they will have been given the opportunity to come into contact with old emotional wounds that need to be healed.

Two parts

These emotional wounds could be traced to something that happened during your childhood years. Many years will have passed since this stage in your life and many defenses will have been put in place, which could make it difficult for your conscious mind to see how these emotional wounds relate to your childhood years.

Once they can see the connection, it will be much easier for them to focus and deal with these hurts rather than getting caught up in what is happening externally, the story. What this clearly shows is that your conscious mind will want one thing and your unconscious mind will want another.

A friendly hand

By dealing with these emotional wounds, one can change his life and become more whole and complete. Thus, these ‘negative’ external experiences and the feelings that accompany them are not there to make you suffer or to punish you, they are there to help you evolve.

That is why it has been said that the first stage of enlightenment is consciousness, since without it there is no growth. As with most things on this earth, this is a process; self-awareness is not something that develops and that is the end

If one can see that they have internal wounds that need to be healed and are ready to face these wounds, they may need to seek external support. This is something that can be provided with the help of a therapist or healer.
