Trivisonno believes Tressel will bring a winner to Cleveland

Mike Trivison doesn’t want Jim Tressel to come to Cleveland. The popular and opinionated 1100 WTAM talk show host from Cleveland is convinced that with all of the Browns’ recent woes, a change needs to be made. Triv says that Tressel, the current head coach of the # 1 Ohio State Buckeyes, has that special “X factor” that every great coach should have. While I’m not sure that Tressel translates into a successful NFL head coach, Tressel himself has been clear on the many quotes that he says he’s not sure either. Whatever happens, Cleveland Browns fans who also follow Ohio State, or at least are aware of its success (and trust me, you can’t live in Ohio and not be drenched in news about the Buckeyes), they have to be intrigued by the possibility.

One thing is for sure about Tressel; is a proven winner. After multiple Division I-AA National Championships at Youngstown State and a Division IA National Championship with Ohio State in 2002, Tressel has his Buckeyes in the 2006-2007 BCS National Championship Bowl game on January 8. Should Tressel win his second National Championship with OSU in 6 years as head coach, would “Senator Tressel” consider taking the next step? While the Ohio State head coaching job is the closest to the top in the world of college football, the NFL is a bigger and better football game with even more money. Time will tell if Trivison can not open the ears of Browns owner Randy Lerner, but it sure will be interesting to see how it unfolds.
