The positive thinking toolbox

Positive thinking has its tools: affirmations of course, but also relaxation and visualization. And to carry your positive thoughts in your pocket, create your support cards and your vision board.

Positive thinking has its own tools

Statements:

Affirmations have created positive thinking. When you notice your thoughts turning negative, or worrying or brooding over your worries, react by repeating a positive affirmation.

The wording is important: the statement must be in the present tense and include “I”, plus a positive action verb. For example: “I remain in control of myself at all times”, “I constantly create positive thoughts that lead me to success”…

But sometimes it’s hard to believe, it seems artificial.

To overcome this obstacle, positive thinking uses relaxation.

The first relaxation helps release tension. You can’t worry when you are completely physically relaxed!
Focus your attention on the rhythm of your breathing. Check the usual stress points to consciously relax: the face, neck and shoulders, the solar plexus, etc.

The importance of relaxation is that it puts you in a state of receptivity, where it will be easier to transmit positive images and thoughts from your conscious to your subconscious.

The relaxation in the positive thinking toolkit also prepares an essential activity: creative visualization.

Visualization is an essential tool of positive thinking because it uses the imagination.

Instead of shaking your fists and using your awareness, relaxation allows you to take a relaxed approach to reprogramming your own mind. The term may seem a bit strong, but be careful with your life: your will comes and goes, it is not constant during a day. You can’t always call him to the rescue. But your beliefs, what you think you can or cannot do, is with you in silence. And more often determines the outcome of their actions.

Visualization intervenes so that you imagine the situation you want. Then you can imagine it, as if it exists now. And not only mentally but also with the corresponding emotions. Now you put yourself in a state of harmony, now you are experiencing success and the feeling of victory.

A daily session of relaxation and visualization can have dramatic effects, particularly on the state of your positive thoughts throughout the day. But to reinforce this beyond the relaxation period (for 99% of the day!), there are tools you can take with you:

Support cards.

If you practice positive thinking, it is because you have one or more goals. These goals, you visualize them, you imagine them, these objectives but you must also write them down.

Write a goal for each day on thick paper (card), a format that goes in your pocket to always have with you. And you put the card preferably in a pocket where there will be nothing else: the simple act of reaching into your pocket will give you back the image of your target!

More along these lines: the “vision boards”:

You build an image of your positive vision. You can clip pages from a magazine, retrieve and edit images on the Internet, all on an A3 sheet or a good medium of your choice, it will reproduce your vision in 2 dimensions. You dream of skiing, you cut out a drawing of a skier and you cut off his head to replace it with yours. Your dream home also has a place there. The perfect job can be in pictures: the favorite environment of colleagues.

There is not limit. If you practice scrap booking, you will enjoy this! And if not, it doesn’t matter: it works just the same!

Of course, after making this board, you will be excited. The ideal is to have it as often as possible in your field of vision. Take a photo and reduce it to a format that fits in your pocket.

With the vision boards you carry with you… every day your positive thinking!
