Spy Scanners: Don’t Compromise Your Privacy

Spies, spyware, Internet parasites are among those that are often called. These are browsers that monitor your web activities. Covertly work to verify your browsing patterns, spending habits, purchased items, extract email addresses, hijack browsers, steal credit card information. These are just some of the things that spyware is capable of.

A spyware is primarily an information-hungry parasite determined to collect data from a user or surfer without their knowledge.

The information collected by these parasites is then sent to the creator without users’ consent. Most of the time, the information collected by spyware is used to generate advertisements and pop-ups on the user’s PC.

Spyware and adware, in addition to being a nuisance and an invasion of privacy, can also jeopardize the optimal performance of your PC. They can consume unused disk space and reside in an inconspicuous location on your hard drive. They can also eat up bandwidth, crash your system, and often inflict themselves on the Registry or your computer’s memory.

Spyware and adware have become very rampant these days. Avoid being a victim of these:

* Beware of freeware and shareware downloads

– Some of these downloads are tagged with spyware that may be unknown to the user. Chorus of downloading sharewares and freewares from unknown sources.

* Install good spyware/adware scanner and removal software

– There are a number of spyware scanners and/or removal software on the market today. A good spyware scanner can effectively locate all spyware installed on your PC and a good spyware removal tool can effectively remove all detected spyware.

Spy Scanners are programs designed to detect spies on your PC. A good spy scanner can effectively search through the most inconspicuous embedded files that spy on you.

Most spy scanners include a spyware removal feature. Other spyware scanners do not include spyware removal features, but show logs of spyware detected on your PC. The information in the logs contains the location and nature of the spyware.

For spy scanners without built-in spyware removal features, manual removal of spyware files can also be performed as the location and type of file are specified in the logs. Some spy scanner products on the market today have spyware scanning available for non-paying users and the removal tool is available only for paying users.

Spy scanners, when installed, can be chosen to run on demand or periodically.
