Regional Elite Quarterback Camps 11 2008

Today let’s talk about the Elite 11 Regional Quarterback Competition. There are many parents and players who are very interested in the quarterback competitions that are held all over the United States.

This soccer camp has existed for 10 years. I think the Elite 11 invitation only quarterback camp is one of the best qb competition camps in America.

Just take a look at some of the quarterbacks who have attended.

Jamarkus Russell, Troy Smith, Vince Young, Ben Rothlisberger, Ted Tebow, Derek Anderson, Cleo Clemmons, Matt Leinert, Carson Palmer to name a few.

The 2008 11 Elite Quarterback Regional Contest lasts two hours. The first hour is station work, as quarterbacks rotate through different stations, and each station contains a useful drill to improve each player. Some qb drills are about the quarterback’s footwork, others about the accuracy of qb passes, to name a few.

The second hour of the contest is when the quarterback throws passes to wide receivers who are running pass routes from a quarterback passing tree. Quarterbacks will start with three-step drops (jerks, droops) and then progress through the passing tree with five- and seven-step drops.

The twelve regional quarterback competitions will also have a special accuracy competition this year.

After completing the regional c12 contests, the top quarterbacks from these regional qb camps are selected to be one of the top eleven high school juniors to participate in the national event held each year in California.
