How to Clean the Colon and Detoxify the Body – First Steps of the Diet

You may not feel really sick, but not like before – energetic and full of vitality. If this is the case, you could look into an all-natural colon cleanse, especially at the end of a season, which is a good time to consider how to cleanse your colon.

There are many symptoms that could be attributed to a malfunctioning colon, but some that can be alleviated with a gentle colon cleanse include:

  • Lack of energy and fatigue

  • Irritable Bowel and Stomach Pain

  • Depression

  • Constipation

  • Over weight

  • Headaches, muscle pain

  • Allergies to foods such as wheat, cheese, cow’s milk, tomatoes, among many others

Our digestive systems need to function well in order to properly absorb the nutrients from the food we eat. When they’re not in top shape, the major organs of the body don’t have access to the active nutrients needed to produce a high enough level of energy, leaving you feeling exhausted and lethargic. The same with the lymphatic and circulatory systems, kidneys and pancreas, liver and adrenal gland.

Our bodies are overloaded with toxins from unhealthy diets and a polluted environment, as well as from busy, stressful lives.

Saliva, blood and urine tests that assess the state of the body’s systems can tell you your ‘biological age’. You may be surprised to learn that your body thinks you are older than your chronological age!

One of the best ways to restore your body’s natural health and age is to help eliminate toxins, release acids from connective tissue, and eliminate congestion in your digestive system through a complete colon cleanse.

The following are some first steps of the colon cleansing and detoxification diet:

– Chewing food well helps the digestion process.

– Don’t drink a lot when you eat, as too much fluid can dilute digestive enzymes and slow down digestion, but drink more water between meals.

– Incorporate more cereals and steamed vegetables into your diet

– Eat ripe fruit in season

– Avoid too much Animal Protein

At the beginning of a colon cleanse, your symptoms may worsen, but this is normal and will go away in a few days. You may also experience constipation during the course of the detox, but this too will go away if you stick with the cleanse and feel much better afterwards.

You can detox for 2 days up to six weeks, but when doing a colon cleanse it is recommended to follow a proven colon cleansing program for about 30 days.
