all done out of kindness

Advit, a 6-year-old boy, went to school with his father every day. On his way he saw an old man in tattooed clothes, sitting in a corner, half asleep. One day he asked his father: “Dad, who is he? Why doesn’t he go to his house”?

His father replied, “Son, he is a man who does not have enough money to buy good clothes, or live in his own house. So, he lives there.” The son replied, “But daddy, that’s a pedestrian path.”

The next day, going from there, he got out of the car and went to the old man. “Daddu” Advit said and opened his lunch box. The old man looked up with swollen, wet eyes. For the first time someone had called old Daddu. Tears of happiness rolled down Daddu’s wrinkled face.

Advit smiled, hugged Daddu and gave him the rose she was holding.

The old man was brimming with emotions. Advit’s loving gesture brought joy and positivity to the many who were there. Such is the power of kindness.

Kindness is when you treat people gently with love, affection, and care. It is something that comes from within. It is not something to be mastered, but if you are kind, if you have benevolence within, the feeling is amazing.

An act of kindness cannot be defined; an act of kindness shown!

A sneak peek at some kind gestures:

1. Say good morning to the person next to you in the elevator.

2. Give surprises – It’s mother’s day or father’s day, give them something. Nothing can make you happy more than an unexpected gift or gesture.

3. Do some charity – there are children, old people, young people who are fighting some serious diseases, they are going through hard times – help them. Donate your stuff.

4. Give compliments: someone has done their homework tremendously well. congratulate him. Give it a pat. praise him.

5. Say ‘great!’ -She dressed very well to go out with you. She says “you look good”. Not! Say amazing in her place. Give them cards, hug them, buy them gifts and send them flowers.

6. Always say please, I’m sorry and thank you – be polite when speaking. When you say sorry, mean it. Don’t order anyone. If you want someone’s help, always ask for it. Thank people for helping, no matter how small the help.

7. Listen, don’t interrupt, don’t underestimate the power of listening. People don’t always need a solution. Sometimes they just need you to listen to them. Let them talk. Listen patiently.

8. Say hello to the brave: That little boy saved you from a roach, own up to it. Salute him for his bravery.

9. Stop for the pedestrian to cross the road.

10. Yield to the ambulance.

11. Help the old woman carry the purchase. Hold the bag for her. Help her up the stairs.

12. Express – Say I love you to someone you love. Say you care

13. Offer your seat to those in need.

14. Go the extra mile: Don’t buy a card for your friend’s birthday, make one yourself. It may be the cheapest gift, but it will be the most precious.

15. Teaching the underprivileged – many people do not have access to education. Spread the knowledge, teach them for free.

16. Assist the injured animal. Take him to a vet.

17. Smile at a stranger or say hello. It could be that I am having a bad day and your smile can be healing, yes smile a lot, it costs nothing.

18. Spread positivity: Help the person stay positive by motivating and encouraging them. Tell him how you failed and then take the stories down.

19. Help people with different abilities.

And it is an endless list.

We hardly notice the smallest things in life. Make people feel loved, be kind to them, help them and enjoy a healthier life. Your small gestures can brighten someone’s day. Your smile can put all their troubles to rest. Remember, at the end of the day, write down the things you have done to make others happy. Keep a record of your good deeds. This will make you happy.

There is a popular saying that says “what goes around comes around”. Be nice to people, spread kindness, it will definitely come back to you.

“Kindness is the language that even a deaf can hear and a blind can see.”

What can be more powerful then? Let the goodness speak! Be known for your kindness.
